Helmsley Building Train Plaques
The Helmsley Building (230 Park Avenue in New York City) was originally build as the headquarters of the New York Central Railroad. The current management of the building sought to create an original centerpiece that recalled the building's origins and lavishly ornamented the main lobby. Excalibur worked with them to create large scale bronze relief castings based on a painting the building had commissioned depicting a pair of trains in front of the New York City skyline of the 1920's. Excalibur sculpted, cast and installed these two large installations.
